Day 7: Checking In

Another 2 days has gone by since I last blogged. Doesn't mean I've quit the program or stopped weighing myself. As a matter of fact, I have learned a very important lesson about my weight: I weigh less when I wake up than I do when I go to bed.

Maybe this seems common sense to you, but it was a surprise to me. On the whole, though, it makes sense. You can gain as much as 5 pounds in a single day depending on what you eat. Today, I started off at 200.2 pounds at 10 am in the morning and by 9 pm in the evening, I weight 201.3. Yesterday, I started off at 200.2 pounds at 8:30 in the morning but by 3 pm, I was at 202.8 pounds. When you weigh matters!

Now, I've spent a week on the program. I have not touched any glutten since Sunday. Here were my measurements last week:
Neck: 15 1/8"
Upper left arm: 14 1/2"
Upper right arm: 15"
Left wrist: 7 1/2"
Right wrist: 7 3/8"
Bust: 44 1/2"
Waist: 41 1/2"
Gut: 48 6/8"
Hips: 47"
Upper left thigh: 27 1/2"
Upper right thigh: 28 1/2"
Left knee: 16 1/4"
Right knee: 16 1/2"
Left calf: 17 1/8"
Right calf: 18 1/4"
Left ankle: 11 1/8"
Right ankle: 10 6/8"

Here are my measurements this week:
Neck: 15"
Upper left arm: 14 7/8"
Upper right arm: 15 3/4"
Left wrist: 7 1/4"
Right wrist: 7: 3/4"
Bust: 43 1/2"
Waist: 40 3/8"
Gut: 50 1/4"
Hips: 48 1/2"
Upper left thigh: 28"
Upper right thigh: 26 3/4"
Left knee: 16 3/4"
Right knee: 16 1/2"
Left calf: 18 1/4"
Right calf: 18"
Left ankle: 10 1/2"
Right ankle: 9 3/4"

Total loss: 0.5 inches, after allowing for a bunch of gains :(. Did manage to get rid of about 5 pounds of weight, which is a positive. I haven't spent my days starving, either. I have not, I confess, strictly followed the diet plan, either. That may account for some of the results that I'm seeing.

I will say, though, that my overall health seems to have improved. I'm not coughing as much or as often. My arm has improved, my leg has improved, and that's all to the good.
